Burger in a bowl Recipe

Instructions:

Heat things up:

  1. Spray a large, heavy-based non-stick frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and put it over a high heat.

Sizzle and saute:

  1. Add the beef, onion and garlic and stir-fry for 7-8 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the onions have
  2. softened. Take the pan off the heat and drain any fat from the mixture. Season lightly.

Sauce preparation:

  1. While the beef is cooking, put all the sauce ingredients in a bowl with 4 tbsp water and whisk until well combined.
  2. Mix together the lettuce, gherkins, onions and tomatoes and divide between 4 wide bowls. Spoon the beef mixture on top,
  3. divide the sauce between the burgers and serve hot.

Tips and tricks:

  1. Want to add a bit of cheese? Opt for a low-fat variety and sprinkle it sparingly.
  2. Feeling adventurous? Experiment with different herbs and spices in your sauce for a personalized flavor twist.
